Ecstatic dance is freeform, sober movement. No choreography, no judgment, pure improv and co-creation. An intentionally curated sonic journey, an intentionally held container, and a community that knows how to throw down.
Every Sunday night we gather at either the Avalon Ballroom or Nevei Kodesh (once a month). A full evening that begins with our signature Dance Lab, moves into Opening Circle, and culminates in a deep ecstatic dance soundscape journey led by world-class DJs and artists.
Beyond our weekly dance, we produce special events throughout the year from: Halloween, NYE, mini-festivals, breathwork journeys, and collaborations with touring artists.

Our signature offering. Dance Lab is a co-created exploration designed to build a core resonance — the collective alive-ness that makes the ecstatic dance that follows feel like flight. Expect dance games, contact improvisation, connection exercises, and playful attunement. This is the foundation for the community dance many of us are craving.

The main course. Our artist takes us on a full soundscape journey — from tender opening to thunderous peak to soft, luminous landing. This is the freeform, permission-filled dance space where you get to be exactly who you are.

Boulder Ecstatic Dance is built and tended by a small, devoted team who believe in the transformative power of conscious community.
Danny is a guide, breathworker, medicine space holder, event producer, conscious dance DJ, and connection catalyst. He's the co-founder of Boulder Ecstatic Dance (BED), Inner Light Revival Breathwork, and formerly Dance Meets Tantra (DMT). His work centers on creating safe and inspiring experiences that invite authentic self-expression, emotional depth, and genuine connection. Rooted in radical presence and a deep devotion to community, Danny brings his full heart to every client and container he leads — offering grounded safety, emotional attunement, and a space where people can meet themselves more fully. He is known for loving travel, activating dance floors, and empowering dancers through the cultivation of authentic aliveness. Regularly found gardening, training movement, exploring deeply into nature, contributing to transformative events, snowboarding, and learning music production.
dannymoves.com →Robin is an event organizer, music producer, DJ, and music educator based in Boulder, Colorado. He co-founded Boulder Ecstatic Dance and has been involved in ecstatic dance since 2013 and the transformational festival world since 2011. As Bloomurian, his style ranges from Ecstatic Dance, World Bass, Trip-Hop, Trap, Glitch, and Psy-Dub — fusing face-melting, heart-opening, soul-awakening multidimensional frequencies. He often plays electric guitar and shovel slide-guitar, accompanied by live instrumentalists and vocalists, weaving original tracks, collaborations, remixes, and tasteful selections into a rich tapestry of sonic alchemy.

She is in service to supporting events and gatherings that invite people and community to grow in embodiment and freedom, connecting in movement, creativity and expression. You can often meet her at the front desk, welcoming the dancers as they arrive!
Her devotion is to creating warm, welcoming and safe spaces where people feel seen, included and celebrated. With a background in events coordination, festival operations, hospitality and networking, her passion has involved her with The Center for Transformative Movement, The Bandshell Boogie, Arise Festival, Sunrise Ranch Ecstatic Dance, Ecstatic Dance Campout, Rainbow Lightening, Conscious Roots Presents, Revel: Convergence, and more.
She is the dreamer and producer of "The Magic Carpet: Ecstatic Dance" — a traveling dance floor meeting place for dancers at festivals such as Unison, Rise&Vibe, and Revel.
Every week, an incredible team of volunteers shows up to hold, welcome, and care for this community. They are the backbone of what makes this dance feel like home.
Each week we welcome a volunteer team to help with day-of dance roles. We hold this dance as a community effort and co-creation. Volunteers receive free entry and become part of the heart of what makes this all happen.
